Kano coming from the Mike Skinner stable provides a raucous track with ‘Typical Me’. There’s clever use of rock guitar chords that excites me in the sense of fusing rock guitar with hip-hop MCing. This has been attempted with the likes of Run DMC, Public Enemy, Can-i-bus and Kano creates a heavy track using this. The drums have a pretty original vibe but are used in a way to compliment the guitar. Kano is a good MC with a cool personality that will appeal.

You can tell he’s young and his lyrics are more on the fickle tip on this track yet it’s all good and uniquely British. It’s gonna appeal to all these new breed of Streets fans.

All in all I’d say Kano is a young talent that is being groomed in the right way. ‘Typical Me’ is a catchy track with a bit of balls and is not bad at all. A nice appearance from Ghetto as well.
