The latest single to be released from Joan Wasser's well-received second album To Survive, 'Holiday' is a gentle and atmospheric number consisting of sparsely laid piano, strings, guitar and Joan As Police Woman's serene and soothing vocals.

The B-side 'No Question' is even more down-tempo than the single in question, taking a more minimalist approach with a sparingly placed, yet striking piano arrangement and Wasser's haunting vocals.

In complete contrast to a typical pop song that shouts from the rooftops, Joan As Police Woman's 'Holiday' is a delicate slice of understated brilliance. Recommended.
