The Voom Blooms
Anna
Single Review

Hailing from the hotbed of rock 'n' roll mayhem that is Loughborough, The Voom Blooms have been garnering considerable media hype with their less than unique take on post-Libertines indie.

Anna, is competent enough indie fodder, but lacks any real conviction or distinctiveness that would set it apart from the great grey sludgy mass that we call popular rock in 2006.

If they want to follow such trailblazers as The Young Knives, Kasabian, and, er ... Showaddywaddy into the East Midlands Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, they'll have to do better than this.
