‘Powerballin’ is Chingy’s new album. Chingy is the latest rap act getting the industry push that made a name for himself with the infectious and popular single ‘Right Thurr’. Chingy falls into the category of image hip hop and even though he has a distinctive slur in MC delivery to make him unique, his content is pretty fickle and not really saying anything. ‘Powerballin’ falls into this category. It didn’t stretch my mind and the beats aren’t that edgy. It seems to

me this is pimp gloss that’s not very street or sophisticated. If the industry are churning out artists just because hip hop is popular to kids and Chingy is one of them, I guess he’s gonna’ have a rude awakening and a very short career. Oh well, I’m sure he’ll still sell a few records in the meantime.
