Album Review
This 'second' debut from Film School is an album that is quite simply one to check out. With line up changes since the original album and good solid reviews and a great reputation from Ep's to fall back on they could do no wrong. The album brings together what is great about this type of music; it basically consists of having dark sensibilities yet still being able to deliver great song after great song without the need for suicidal thoughts. Lead single On & On is gracious and flowing with fitting subliminal lyrical content while other tracks such as Sick of the Shame hammer hard on the flowing dreamy but edgy qualities seen in Joy Division. Aspects of Cures jam tangents are also present adding to song structure and helps glue the album as a piece rather than as a singles collection. Basically a great one, buy 8/10
