Caan Left Playboy Mansion To Get Real

[James Caan](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/james-caan) moved out of the [Playboy](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/playboy) mansion because he feared he'd never be able to live in the real world again if he outstayed his welcome there.

Pal and Playboy boss [Hugh Hefner](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/hugh-hefner) invited the actor to stay at the mansion after Caan was left homeless by a divorce battle in the mid-1970s, and THE GODFATHER star moved in for a whole year.

He recalls, "Hef didn't want me to leave because I guess I brought a lot of levity to the place. Back then, it was the greatest nightclub in the world.

"It got to the point where I thought, 'Why don't I just commit suicide because it ain't getting any better than this.'"
