New mum [Gwyneth Paltrow](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/gwyneth-paltrow) listened to Icelandic songs as she gave birth to baby APPLE BLYTHE ALISON MARTIN on Friday (14MAY04).

Music by [Chris Martin](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/chris-martin)'s favourite band, eccentric four-piece group SIGUR ROS, was played in the delivery room at a North London hospital.

The group's first commercial song was a 20-minute instrumental based on the sound of toe taps called BABATIKIDODO and they sing in a made up language called Hopelandish.

Other celebrity fans of Sigur Ros include [Brad Pitt](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/brad-pitt), [Madonna](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/madonna), and fellow Icelander [Bjork](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/bjork).
