John's Private Jet Beats Airport Curfew

SIR [Elton John](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/elton-john) caused a storm on Friday night (18JUN04) after his private jet was given permission to fly out of a Scottish airport - after the 11pm deadline.

The flamboyant star caused controversy when his personal plane was allowed to beat the 11pm curfew at ABERDEEN AIRPORT - and was allowed to fly out after John performed a show.

John told the audience at Scotland's PICTORIAL, "I'd like to thank Aberdeen Council for letting me fly out later tonight."

With the help of a police escort John made it to his private jet 40 minutes after his encore of YOUR SONG for 26,000 fans.
