Lowe Brings Fresh Take To Cruise's Kaffee

Former Brat Packer [Rob Lowe](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/rob-lowe) is gearing up to take over pal [Tom Cruise](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/tom-cruise)'s role in the stage play of A FEW GOOD MEN, but has promised audiences a completely fresh portrayal of rookie Navy lawyer DANIEL KAFFEE.
[The West Wing](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/the-west-wing) creator [Aaron Sorkin](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/aaron-sorkin) originally wrote the story for Broadway in 1989, before it was picked up by Hollywood producers and adapted into the 1992 hit movie, which starred Cruise, [Jack Nicholson](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/jack-nicholson) and [Demi Moore](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/demi-moore).
From next month (18AUG05), Lowe will take to the London West End stage alongside DOCTOR WHO star [John Barrowman](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/john-barrowman), former soap actress [Suranne Jones](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/suranne-jones) and BAD GIRLS actor JACK ELLIS.
Lowe, who starred alongside Cruise in [The Outsiders](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/the-outsiders), says, "Tom Cruise is a pal of mine and he was amazing in the movie. But I'm going to be doing my own take on Kaffee.
"Actually the play was written very funny and when I saw the movie, I thought, 'The movie is great... but it's not funny. It's serious.' So I'm going to show the funny side."
