Movie star [George Clooney](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/george-clooney) is planning his most ambitious project yet - a live TV reworking of cult newsroom drama [Network](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/network).

The actor, who tackles TV news in his acclaimed new film GOOD NIGHT, AND GOOD LUCK, is a huge fan of [Sidney Lumet](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/sidney-lumet)'s 1976 movie, starring [Faye Dunaway](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/faye-dunaway) and [Peter Finch](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/peter-finch), and is keen to bring the drama to TV and air it live.

It's not the first time Clooney has been involved in such a project - he once starred in a live ER and in 2000 he executive produced and starred in a live TV version of 1964 Cold War drama FAIL SAFE.

Clooney insists he'll leave screenwriter [Paddy Chayefsky](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/paddy-chayefsky)'s (corr) script alone but update news items with stories about modern-day terrorism.
