Morissette 'Cringes' Over Teenage Tunes

  • 18 November 2005

Canadian pop queen [Alanis Morissette](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/alanis-morissette) is proud of her work to date, but she insists her teenage attempts at songwriting were less than impressive.

The JAGGED LITTLE PILL star, 31, is desperately embarrassed by her love-struck adolescent lyrics, as she only started to rock when she hit 19.

She says, "There are things I wrote when I was 16 that I am embarrassed by now.

"I used to write songs about flirty girls looking for boys.

"When I was ten, I wrote a song called FOUND THE RIGHT MAN. It was a cringe-fest.

"But, from 19 onwards, there's nothing I'd want to change."
