Fry's Dr Who Script Axed

British comedian [Stephen Fry](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/stephen-fry)'s debut script for hit BBC drama [Doctor Who](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/doctor-who) has been axed from the second series because the storyline is too ambitious.

The [Gosford Park](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/gosford-park) actor penned an episode for the long-running sci-fi series which was due to air on BBC1 at Easter (06).

But chief writer RUSSELL T DAVIES has postponed Fry's show because of the complex production techniques.

A BBC insider says, "Stephen's script is in its third draft and it's so ambitious that Russell T Davies decided it fitted in better with the next run.

"It will give the team more time to sort out all the special effects and prosthetics."
