Tunstall Rejected Phoebe Stereotype

Scottish singer/songwriter [KT Tunstall](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/kt-tunstall) was determined to shirk the stereotypical image of 'the girl with the guitar' - as she didn't want people to see her as another PHOEBE from [Friends](https://contactmusic.6lgx.com/friends).

The SUDDENLY I SEE star, who launched her career performing in the student bar at her college, decided to inject her music with as much power as possible, to avoid her songs sounding flimsy.

She says, The stigma of that kind of music - Phoebe from Friends - has a lot to answer for!

"That whimsical fragile stuff... I thought, I can be louder than that... more fun! Be more raw!"
