Jackson Death Website On Sale

  • 26 June 2009

An online trader is cashing in on Michael Jackson's death within hours of the tragedy - by demanding $3 million (£2 million) for a website address.
The seller, based in Los Angeles and identified only as Mimoha, has registered the domain name "MoonWalkToHeaven.com" and is auctioning it off on website eBay.
He has placed the starting bid at $200,000 (£133,000) - and wants $3 million for an immediate sale.
The successful bidder will receive the rights to use the website address MoonWalkToHeaven with six different locations, including .com, .org, and .net.
The sale started within six hours of the confirmation of Jackson's death on Thursday night (25Jun09) - but had not attracted a single bid as WENN went to press.
Other traders on the auction website are offering up hastily printed "R.I.P. Michael Jackson" t-shirts, posters, and badges. Newspapers from around the world announcing the tragic news are also on sale as "collector's items" - with price tags of up to $100 (£66).
